People throw away so many new things, I can't believe it !! We were driving down the street and I saw this awesome Marilyn Monroe poster still in the plastic protection in someones garbage. So of course I took it. After all it was garbage, right? And anyone that really knows me, knows I LOVE Marilyn Monroe.
I was sooooo happy with just that. However, a week later we were driving down a different street and someone was throwing out a black frame with the exact size I needed for this poster, which is about 3 ft tall! The funny thing about this frame is that whoever had it, didn't know that the edges come off so you can put the poster or picture inside the frame, so they had just jimmy-rigged their poster outside of the frame. So this frame is like new and still has the protective plastic covering as well.
One of my better "Garbage Finds". I labeled this under: Garage Sale FInds though, because I don't go through garbage too often. In fact, if I ever see something it is just from driving somewhere I have to go. I don't go out hunting in peoples garbage and I don't recommend that.
Have any of you happen to stumble upon any treasures from another persons trash, as I did?? I would love to hear about it.
